Reflection on poverty and disability

Poverty and disability are terms that crisscross too often. It is a social fact.

For many, the consequences of exclusion brought about by the attitude towards disability make to be a nightmare, a rueful reality.

This is a reality living poor men and women, those living in the greatest misery, in extreme poverty. There is a tremendously harsh reality, but it's really real. Confining to a dark room, poverty, which should leave. Many have been, and still are, in that dark room of disability and misery.

However, we are in front to a reality that we can change and we are happy because that cry for help is heard here and there. New times propitious arise because there now who are willing to work to force the changes needed. To a large extent, people with disabilities have taken in their hands a leading role for his own inclusion.

Unfortunately, our backlogs Venezuela is still living on disability. Between one million and a half and two and a half million Venezuelans have some form of disability. Unfortunate that there are still people with disabilities who are not recognized as such.

It is therefore necessary that the entire population is illustrated in reference to what is disability and its implications for all to know how to approach it.

A common people dislike can cause disability and can say with all certainty that many of the horrors suffered due to a kind of fear that causes the condition of people with disabilities.

It is an issue that should be analyzed with the purpose of changing paradigms and attitudes.

We need to understand how valuable human life and that it is society that devalues; therefore we must position ourselves to this with a new attitude knowing that every human being has a role on this earth and that if people with special limitations are given the necessary tools and barriers that marginalize them are torn down can bring a lot to our world as makers of wealth, welfare shapers of society and not as a burden.
